Dry Heaves? Nausea? Help!

I am beyond tired of dealing with this. I finished lunch about 2 hours ago. I just had a nausea/dry heaving spell that is barely managed with some nausea pills.

Has anyone else done this?

What did you eat? Alot of times nausea pills make me even sicker.

I had Arby's (something that hasn't caused problems in the past...which is why I still eat it). I'm on gluten until at least Thursday. The nausea pills I have seem to work. This isn't the first time it's happened. The last time it happened was after I ate out but I don't remember where.

Did you ask your primary why they interpreted your test results as positive?  If they are correct and your interpretation is wrong than it is not surprising that you are having issues.  Also if you are actively refluxing than I would expect problems too.  You may be gluten intolerant which would also cause these issues.  If it were me I would try to eat more healthy to heal from the problems you are having.  Are you planning to have an endoscopic procedure?  Do you plan to go gluten free regardless of results?

All the best!

Well, if you are gluten intolerant and still eating gluten, presumably for a biopsy? then you are probably having a reaction to it. I know I'd have more than dry heaves and nausea if I ate at Arby's.

(or am I missing something.??).

I'm only eat gluten once a day and I'm only doing that until I know if the GI wants to do an endo. When I had the discussion with my Mom it was more of a "keep eating the same for lunch and the house will be gluten-free." After this...I'm thinking I just need to enjoy some toast and start making my lunches for work. I have a horrible, horrible fast food addiction...and I think it's better to work on that sooner rather than later.

I am actively refluxing, too. Not only do I have the hiatal hernia but I have some serious GERD. Like, I feel food in my throat an hour after I've eaten bad reflux. Today my body just said, "Nope, no way. I'm done with this nonsense."

but, I am confused. How long before the GI doctor makes up his mind about the biopsy? You can't keep being sick.

and yes, fast food is not good, celiac or not. :)

I have an appointment on Thursday to talk to him about my test results. I'm pretty sure they are negative (which means diddly squat).

I posted the results in another thread, here they are:

Immunoglobulin IGA 279 (I can't find a range for this...but it is listed under 'abnormal'

IGG 2

IGA 5

tTG IGA 3

When I looked on the website for the interpretation it says:

<20 units, negative

20-30 units, weak positive

>30 units moderate to strong positive

That looks negative to me. So I'll see what the doc says when we have a chat Thursday.

Well once you know. Then look on line and see what fast food places have Gluten free stuff. McDonalds has Gluten Free fries , So when I go out, if my friends want to stop at Mickey "D"s I get FF's and a soda. It doesn't seem like much but really I will never suffer on purpose. Or you can say, Nope I am done with Fast Food forever!! It is toxic to me and my body!! You can do it!! All that crap is not nourishing to your body. Take care of your self!! You are in control of you!! Sorry I tell my kids the same thing! Hope you feel better soon! Good luck!!

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️

Yeah, that sounds super familiar. When inflammation levels are high — especially at the start of changing your diet — the body often develops a fructose and lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you
