Please stick around!!! You'll still be following the gluten-free diet, I assume, and the gluten-free lifestyle, and the coping of the two. I'm sure you'll have questions and insights to share. But I am happy for you in that there is no damage to your innards like what celiac disease does.

Were blood tests positive? A biopsy can rule celiac in but not out so if you had positive blood results I would not rule celiac out just yet.

blood tests came back slightly high, they said it was borderline, but they would consider me not. this was with a dr i wasnt too keen on (he said because everything is normal, its all in my head). i see my GI dr tomorrow so ill get some more answers. but i know how my body feels with gluten (like the gluten i ate yday from bbq sauce...ugh).

I would imagine high IS celiac disease. Borderline or not. I really really dislike it when dr's are so dismissive of anything that they can't pinpoint or fix in 11 minutes  At least here people believe you and have experienced some of the same problems.

What I hate and find quite often, and this included and insolent arrogant GI I had been to also If he would have done the tests I asked he would have found the Hashimoto's antibodies. Most doctors who are male treat female patients as neurotic imbeciles. If you were a man he would be all over it like a bad rash. Instead even though it was borderline it is all in your head. No, it isn't in your head, it is in your blood.

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
