Celiac Plus Crohn's - New To Fodmap

Hello,

 

I was recently diagnosed with Crohn's (Via Pill Cam endoscopy - won't bore you with symptoms leading up to it. I have been Gluten free since May 5, 2010 (Celiac diagnosis, via blood test, endoscopy and genetic test). I'm a rock star at the Gluten Free thing, thanks in large part to my stalking communities like this one.

 

I am finding the new Fodmap diet to be a challenge. The rules are so confusing to me! I need to be practical.

 

 

Are there any other Fodmapper's out there with practicial advice or favorite resources?

 

Some of my many random questions?

-Is tomato sauce okay (Assuming non glaric, onion)?

-If Gluten Free bread is okay, does that mean gluten-free pasta is too?

-Is Cane Sugar okay?

-What if milk is listed as an ingrediant (For example Salt & Vinigar chips), is that okay?

-My doctor said I could have beans, is soy okay then?

-Is there a ranking of how high in fodmaps different things are?

      Thiamine interacts with all the other B vitamins.  Thiamine and B 6 make a very important enzyme together. With more thiamine and other vitamins available from the supplements your body is absorbing the ones you need more of.  The body can control which vitamins to absorb or not.  You're absorbing more and it's being transported through the blood.   It's common to have both a Thiamine and a Pyridoxine deficiency.  Keep taking the B Complex. This is why it's best to stop taking supplements for six to eight weeks before testing vitamin levels.

      Yes I took a supplement that had B6 in it, low dosage though. I've stopped taking that. B1 doesn't affect other B vitamin levels?
