So frustrating - I'm trying to cook more, and I have no experience with corn meal.  Rushed through the store getting ingredients for a recipe I've been wanting to try and didn't realize I picked up the Bob's cornmeal with the shared facility/equipment warning on the back.

 

I can't use this, right?

 

So, my family will be able to have this delicious looking tamale pie and I won't?

Sadly, they do make a gluten-free version and this is not it.  Lately my grocery store stopped carrying the gluten-free one, too, so I was high and dry as well.  This one, as far as I know, is made in the wheat part of the facility, so CC may be a concern there.  I would not risk it.  Just put the pie filling over rice and make the tamale part another day :)

I'm sorry that happened to you. I have often wished that BRM would take all items which are naturally gluten free and process them in their gluten free facility. 

 

Do you have a Vitamix blender and flour sifter by any chance? It's possible to grind your own cornmeal from popcorn kernels.

      Gluten free Yogurt suggest

      I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free. Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by...

      FDA looking for input on Celiac Gluten sensitivity labeling PLEASE READ and submit your suggestions

      I believe the GFCO does use a common logo for certified gluten free products (those containing not more that 10ppm of gluten) but nothing universal yet from the FDA for standard gluten free products (those containing not more that 20ppm).

      I have a One Pot and decided to start using it one day. I was hesitant at first making my own yogurt, but was surprised at how easy it was. I like mine better too.

      Because I spend so much time reading every word on all food packaging, I personally would greatly appreciate it if there was one common gluten-free symbol written in large-enough text, and always located in the same place. That alone will make shopping easier and faster. I dread having to buy packaged food. Thank you very much for asking,

      I do believe that people are under so much pressure up have a sleeping pattern , with working and how households work these days , but in reality there is no wrong or right at to sleep , I believe your neighbour showed this with such a long life , I do exactly the same at night many times so I hope I live into my nineties also , I have found one thing...

      I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free.  Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by the nature of what they are. They are hoping to create a marketing edge over their competitors by adding "gluten free" because they know it may catch attention of those new to the celiac/gluten sensitivity experience without having to cost them anything in the way of changing their manufacturing process or doing testing.
