Could This Be Dh In Child? Not Really Itchy...

That looks exactly like my son's DH, especially those little craters where he has scratched off the tops. 

 

I know exactly the frustation of trying to figure out what's going on. What we did, was take our son off gluten to see if the tummy aches would get better. Tummy aches stopped immediately and the rash started healing. That was great information and it gave me something to go with when I went to the doctor. The trouble with that was we had to get him back on gluten for a full 12 weeks before we could do any testing. So most people would tell you for that reason, to not go off gluten at all until you a diagnosis. 

Thanks - it's nice to know I'm not way off track! Lol! We have never put him on a gluten-free diet so I'll probably try to get a biopsy before we eliminate it. A 12 week challenge would suck! I appreciate your input :)

Just an update - we have had my son on a low iodine diet and his rash seems to be clearing up. It's difficult to know what's what as his rash seems to flare up and then improve on its own for no apparent reason. It never seems to fully go away though (except when he was on prednisone). We'll get him back on iodine and see what happens!

Wow...what an improvement!

 

And I hear you on finding it difficult because the rash flares up and improves for no apparent reason sometimes. That drives me crazy! 

 

Keep us posted if anything happens after adding iodine back.

      New issue

      I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep.This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I get the shakes...

      I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

      Do Gluten Enzymes actually work?

      If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.

I told him im glutenfree since 1994 by colonoscopy with biopsy positive celiac sprue by GI.Its RIDICULOUS when im bringing in material from this site of knowledge as well as the autoimmune institute,and  there's zero interest on their part.Medical IS causing me depression.Im view as a disability chaser, IM STILL RECOVERING from being a bus driver that im still healing and having more issues, now I may have multiple sclerosis or meningioma. Ive reached out, wrote letters, NOT feeling well. This is inhumane.
