Left leg

Hi-

I was diagnosed 3.5 months ago and have been working really hard to be extra diligent about not letting any gluten sneak in. My blood work is improving (they have tested everything) and my antibody levels and vitamins are looking good on paper, but some things are still bothering me.

My left leg from the knee down is having nerve issues. Sometimes it hurts. Yesterday, the bottom of my foot had a burning sensation. Either way it feels restless and achy. Doc said Celiac neuropathy usually presents on both sides which made me nervous. I'm also experiencing unexplained pressure in my face/head, kind of sinus-y. Just a bunch of random weird things. All that to say, I'm worn out from trying to figure out : If this is just the slow healing process and I need to be patient?

If there are trace amounts of gluten that are getting in somewhere?

Or if I should be concerned about something else? (Though worrying isn't going to help me at all)

They could be because of other problems.  Maybe see an orthopedic doctor about the leg?

my hub and I , as well as half of the KC area, are experiencing pressure behind the " face" from allergens in the air right now.  The mold is especially bad here , but grass pollen was high last week.

Doesn't necessarily sound gluten related to me at this point. Allergies are still rotten this time of the year! You can suddenly be allergic to pollen or mold at any time your life if you weren't before. And I'd see your gp to get a referral for your knee sooner than later so it doesn't get worse.

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
