Hi!

Your earlier reports indicated that your celiac disease is still active.  I think your sleep issues can resolve, but you will need to remain gluten free to allow for healing.  Celiac disease is systemic and can wreak havoc on so many body systems outside of the GI track.

Be patient!  ?

Even it it shows normal you body might need more, we are all different not one size fits all. I need increased Magnesium, and even though I used to show normal, had to supplement at 4-5x the dose when I was first diagnosed. I now take just the recommended dose after healing quit a bit.
Do you have issues with C or D? This dictates which one you might need, I found magnesium glycinate was best for making me sleep well and you just take it as recommended to help with sleep, doctors best here. If you have constipation then Natural Vitality Calm and take it in the mornings or afternoons dosing to tolerance (you start at 2g and up the dose 2g a day til you get loose stools then back the dose back down)

Other things to help with sleep is Pumpkin Seed protein powder before bed few tsp, it helps with melotonin and serotonin production. Supplementing Melotonin might help short term also.

If you just started the gluten-free diet consider your immune system is still fighting a war inside your body, and fights even when your asleep. This can make you feel fatigued and tired. Supplementing other B-vitamins (Full complex they work synergistically), vitamin D, zinc, Vitamin C, and Iron in the mornings might help replenish your bodies stockpiles.

Hi

Thanks for the good Info!!!

I will try your suggestions and also I am afraid of my HB level is 14 G/DL maybe  I should take iron? because my blood type is AB- its rare type and I am always worried if drop below 14 is considered deficiency..

You are still within the acceptable range for hemoglobin.  Why would you supplement with iron?  Did you know that there are many types of anemia?   Not all people with anemia are low in iron.  Taking iron as a supplement could be dangerous (iron overload) if you do not need it.  Ask your doctor to run blood tests if you think you are low in ferritin or are not processing iron properly.

Honestly, you admitted to consuming gluten after being diagnosed.  You have not healed.  But it seems like you are taking celiac disease seriously now.  Just stick to the gluten-free diet and be patient.  I know that is so hard to do!  You are lucky you can be a little lazy.  It will allow you to heal too.  Hang in there!

Hello!

Have you been tested for diabetes?  Has your doctor tested your blood glucose level at your appointments?  Getting sleepy after meals til you feel like you're fainting and being fatigued all day may be signs that your blood sugar levels are too high.

In other posts, Cycling Lady has suggested getting a blood glucose meter (inexpensive ones are available at stores like Wal-Mart) and keeping an eye on how high your blood sugar goes after meals. I think this is a marvelous idea for everyone.  You may need to adjust your diet to keep your blood sugar levels within a desirable range.  Cycling Lady and I have Type Two Diabetes and we control it by "eating to the meter".  Blood sugar levels should be 120 or lower two hours after meals and range from 70 to 100 between meals.

When I get glutened, my blood sugar levels get all wonky.  Sometimes my blood sugar levels get too high and stay too high while there's inflammation.  And I feel like I'm a zombie, not really fainting, but sort of comatose, very difficult to motivate or think and very fatigued.

Be sure to stay hydrated, too.  Dehydration can make you feel fatigued.  Being excessively thirsty is also a symptom of diabetes.

Hope this helps!

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
