Indigestion, GERD, or something else?

Hello,

Roughly 2 months ago, I went to the ER with some constant burping, and shortness of breath(I assume this was caused by a panic attack). They thought i had a small collapsed lung barley noticeable on X-Ray, and it was gone the next day.

Roughly one week ago i started having some severe burping, it's constant (i am always burping or feeling the need to burp). I also notice i am farting a lot. I had some chest pain(Nothing major, that came on and off within the week, it never stayed more than 2 minutes).

So I started to feel better yesterday, no burping.. etc, however last night when i went to sleep i started to notice the feeling of something stuck in my throat, and this morning i started to burp again constantly, and i'm feeling lots of gas in my stomach and chest, that eventually travels to a burp.

After some research, i have come across both GERD, and Indigestion, does this seem like a likely diagnosis?

GERD can cause some of the issues you mention, and GERD is a common symptom of diagnosed celiac disease, as are panic attacks:

Have you discussed your symptoms with your doctor? They should be able to screen you for celiac disease, and/or determine if it is GERD.

Awol cast iron stomach Experienced

My Drs had to rule out Barret's Esophagus as my esophagus was so red and inflammed seen by naked eye  in scope before they even got to my stomach and intestines. Inflammation can do that

See below

More than my small intestine get inflammed.

I did get the knot in my throat during my challenge. My body does not like gluten. Burping is not in particular a main symptoms for me, but while most of us share similarities. We all get are own set of symptoms.

Good luck on you journey to diagnosis and subsequent healing .

This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):

Wheat flour is fortified with vitamins in the U.S. as a part of USDA policy. Gluten free facsimile products are not fortified. There is no government mandate for such. When you remove wheat flour by going gluten free, you may be removing a significant source of vitamins.
