We went there last night and it was wonderful!! We set up reservations from their website and it said special instructions. So, I typed in Gluten free menu. When we got there I gave them my name and they had my gluten-free menu waiting for me! It was a little difficult to order because I don't eat red meat or pork. But I ordered the Lemon pepper chicken and mashed potatoes! YUM!!! They were def trained on gluten-free and it was so nice! Best part is I did not get sick!! And they have sandwiches served on gluten-free bread!!! Great experience! Check it out if you have not been there!

Is Wildfire a national chain or local restaurant? I have never heard of it. Glad you had such a great experience eating out!

Becky6 Enthusiast

It looks like they have several in IL, 1 in MN and one coming to Atlanta this fall.

Get out!!!! I can not believe this....I'm so excited! Another place called Seasons 52 is opening near me in early summer and another in town in early Fall. They have their gluten-free menu items on the servers PDA's. Someone on this board told me about the Orlando place as she was already gluten-free at the time but I was not. Seasons 52 had become her fave place in Orlando as apparently she eats there without reaction (if I remember correctly).

Wow guys this is a great day indeed. With no kids we just can't stop eating out and traveling no matter how much time and planning it takes to do so safely. Remember when the low carb diet stuff started appearing on menus everywhere? And that wasn't even for anyone who HAD to give up carbs but chose to. Yes people our time is coming!

Wow, Becky! That looks great... Can I ask it it was really expensive to eat there? It's not that far from me.

It can be depending on what you get. Mine was about $15. For 2 big chicken breasts and a bowl of mashed potatoes. They have sandwiches on gluten-free bread for $9. everything is generous sizes. But if you want the steaks they are $20. But all of the food is very good quality.

That place is great! I go there when I'm in Chicago...

Thanks Becky! I'm going to check them out when everyone is recovered from the nasty colds/sickies. Carleigh and I could split the chicken breasts and get a salad..

I have contacted Wildfire via e-mail and the Atlanta location will be at Perimeter and is set to open in Oct. this year. I mentioned to the woman in Chicago that since I know they haven't trained all the staff yet (too early to hire everyone) that when training the cooks and servers they should tell them to think of gluten as rat poison since that's what it is to people with Celiac disease or gluten intolerance. I don't know if she'll take my advice but it can't hurt. I'll be posting the actual opening date as soon as it's set in early fall.

I am about to have a fit. I'm so excited that there is a Magginao's (Italian) open now with a gluten-free menu, then Seasons 52 and Wildfire about coming this summer and fall. And they are all in an area not too far from me with free parking. I think the doctor who said 'it's a great time to be a Celiac' is right!

Yay!! I am so glad that it will be by you!! I know, there are so many yummy places around!

Thanks again so much for your post about this place! I don't even like burgers that much and now I'm dying to try their burger on the gluten-free bun!!! How cool is that?! The woman in the home office told me that they worked really long and hard perfecting the bun. I'm not expecting a miracle but it will be worth a try!! Plus they have yummy looking gluten-free desserts too! Oh I can't wait until both Seasons 52 and Wildfire open!!! :D

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
