DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE RAISED ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE? I'VE HAD BLOOD TESTS MANY TIMES OVER THE LAST 15 MONTHS ALWAYS HAVE ELEVATED ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE [128]. I,VE BEEN TESTED FOR HEPATITIS AND HAD AN ULTASOUND OF MY LIVER, ALL OK. I'VE BEEN gluten-free FOR 9 MONTHS AND STILL FEEL NO BETTER. DOC THINKS I HAVE IBS ALONG WITH celiac disease

Hi. My husband had elevated liver enzymes at his last doctors appt. This was the first time his were elevated and I'm not sure which ones were eleveated. There are like 3 of them ALT, AST, and Alkaline Phospahtes. He goes back to the doctor in March to have them rechecked and I'm going to request a copy of the reports. I posted a thread about this a few weeks ago and several people posted with the same results and some links to research on Celiac and Liver Disease. My husband also had the negative Hepatitis test, and he's had an abdominal CT, and 2 Abdominal U/S in the past 6 months with a normal liver. I'm sorry you have these problems but it is always a little comforting to hear others dealing with it, hopefully it's all part of the road to recovery. You mentioned you weren't any better. Have you seen no improvement at all in the past 9 months? Shane (my hubbie) has been gluten-free for about 5 months and we have definately seen improvements although he is no where near better. Hope your feeling better soon.

I've had problems with elevated liver enzymes for the past 12 years on and off. It must be something with the fat metabolism. It has been ok for a couple of years now since I have been eating lower fat. Now with the gluten free diet, I am not sure how it will affect things. I have had milk thistle recommended to me, but am not sure about the dosages. Take care and I hope your husband's health improves soon.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
