I'm having one of those days where I have an insatiable urge to snack.

Like, serious snacking. Like, go to the grocery store on the way to work to get *A* snack for the work day. I packed my lunch, too, with ample snacks.

My trek through HEB went like this (pretend you're reading my thoughts as I'm shopping)...

Walk in the door, ooooh, those blackberries look good! And they're on sale pick up the natural, healthy blackberries

,

walk down the cereal aisle, check the cocoa puffs box. It looks gluten-free, cool, I'll have to remember that. But some people are getting sick, so maybe not

On to the candy aisle, dammit, all the Lindt chocolate has malt in it, bastards. Oooh! When did HEB start selling endangered species chocolate? (Pick up a dark chocolate raspberry bar.) Wait a minute, I hate dark chocolate. Oh well, I'll get it anyway.

On to the refridgerated aisle I really want some kozy shack tapioca pudding. I didn't know they came in 6 packs! (pick up the 6 pack of pudding) (keep in mind, I'm on my way to work)

OK, I'm going to be late. On to the checkout, hold the phone! They added an organic section! AND THEY HAVE TONS OF ENER-G BREAD! Why isn't this in my HEB near home? I'll remember that, oooh, they have those sesame cruch thingys I like, and they're gluten-free! Awesome! (pick up the package of JoYva sesame crunch)

OK, really need to check out. The line is long, why do they only have two registers open, A kosher section and deli, are you kidding me? The Dell's must shop here, rich bastards. Wow, look at all this stuff! I don't have any more room in my hands.

I finally check out, the guy forgets to give me change, and I arrive to work 10 minutes late.

I'm snarfing the heck out of all of this food at my desk :P I never eat like this, WTF??!?!?!

It doesn't sound like you've found the licorice gummy bears yet that say gluten free right on them  I have a heck of a time getting out of the natural foods section  There is just so much to check out and sooo little time :D

What a shame .. you'll have to go back for them :P They really are yummy ... and of course pricey :(

the cocoa puffs are NOT gluten-free.

but I am LOL at "reading your mind" as you were shopping! I've done that! I have some days where all I wanna do is snack.

Like today... I've pigged out on jelly beans, cheetos, Enjoy Life snack bars, tater tots, banana chips... OMG... somebody STOP ME!

it must be in the air----i was eating dry cocoa pebbles out of a cup----would have had a candy bar if there was one in the house!!

how many of you get the munchies when your not even hungry? i HATE when that happens---which is much too often-----sometimes i chew ice--------so i can think i am eating without getting calories.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
