I have not been diagnosed w/ celiac for very long..maybe 3 years..so I truely dont have a grasp for the diet. HOwever I am pregnant and due ion June and my ketones are high and have been high for the past 2 months and the OB told me to get ready to fail the glucose test (which I took yesterday).

I just read on the INternet that I may not be getting enough carbs..which I could see since I DO NOT cook/bake etc, and dont buy alot of bread products anymore. Or it could be attributed to fasting..

PLease give me some food tips..EASY food tips..espcially for 2 days that I dont get a lunch break at work so I would need something quick for those days..right now I eating those rice krispie bars with the panda on the box..(name escapes me)

TIA

i think that protein bars would be alot better for you than the rice crispy bars.

Or maybe increase the amount of fruit you are eating a bit.

my keytones are high everytime i go to the midwife...i am due in a month...i have taken the glucose test 3 times (i have PCOS and am predisposed to gestational diabetes) and have passed every time. i am also drinking so much liquid in a day (like at least 12 cups of something)..so we have just been writing it off as i am just prone to reading as dehydrated...which is all the keytones are supposed to mean as far as i know...are they supposed to be related to gluten intolerance as well?

but dont fret over the glucose test just because of that...just make sure you're getting plenty of fluids and protein...and good luck :)

I dragged a water bottle and fresh fruit everywhere with me when I was pregnant. I had ketones in my urine, too (I had major problems with nausea and vomiting through the whole of all three pregnancies). For some reason, strawberries were practically the only thing I wanted. I don't know if that would help you, especially if there's a glucose problem, but drinking more water might help. I ate a lot of almonds, too.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
