I've been working doing DoorDash for the last 4 months picking up and dropping off food.... It's amazing how much garbage people eat... but anyway   perfect job for a sick person I guess as I get to work my own hours, not physically demanding and makes pretty good money in my area....  Lots of restaurants along the Florida coastline and old people constantly ordering liquor from total whine giving me $30 tips  😂

but I once delivered a gluten free pizza to someone.. it made me wonder if they were celiac or just eating gluten free...    i wouldn't trust it though...

Another asian food place I was picking up food from offered me a menu... I told him I can't eat here because I can't eat gluten... he said we have a gluten free menu...

no f'ing way I'd trust any of these places.

The gluten free pizza at pizza joints charger away to much for gluten free pizzas.. I found the found the frozen gluten free pizza ate better.. I miss eating Chinese food but I don't even do that anymore because of concerns of it being contaminated with gluten.. it's really hard to trust all this gluten free stuff out there cuz you don't know if it's been contaminated with gluten due to the factory it comes from. But I have eaten the gluten-free frozen pizzas and never had any issues with them I really like the cauliflower crust

Even with the burger salad at Burger King, do you know that they are not cooking the burger the same grill just used to cook some breaded thing?

And Arbys. Are the spices they use on the meat gluten-free?

You are taking macro precautions but overlooking potential sources of small amounts of gluten. I occasionally eat out at chains like you describe and take those macro precautions but only when I have no other options. I would strongly recommend you not do so by choice when there are other options like preparing food at home made from simple, fresh ingredients like fresh meat, fresh fruit and fresh or frozen vegies.

A person would need unhinged jaws like snake to be able to eat that sandwich!

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
