My villi are still flat after a year and a half of going gluten free

I had endoscopy Wednesday and the GI guy told me my villi are flat and unhealthy.  I have totally eliminated gluten from my diet and followed his directives at all times.  I was diagnosed with celiac disease in March, 2020.  That was when the pandemic began.  My husband died later on in the year.  I had the endoscopy due to chronic diarrhea issues.  My brother is telling me that I am somehow digesting gluten without knowing it.  My biopies come back in a few days.  Help.  Susie

I have seen on this forum that for some people oats as well as cassein in dairy can trigger the same AI reaction as gluten. Perhaps you can try to eliminate these (if you haven't already) and also triple check if you are not still consuming gluten. Do you have a gluten free household?  Are you eating out?

I agree with @yuluyouyue, also, be sure to go through this article in detail to make sure you're not getting gluten in your diet or via other ways. The most common way is eating out at restaurants, or outside your home:

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
