Bagpipes noises? That's a new one. Is that Scottish for farting?

T.Hug Newbie

Not exactly no it's loud rumbling noises lol

Is this fresh coconut or processed/shredded? If the latter, could it have been processed on equipment that also processes gluten-containing food stuffs such that there is cross-contamination happening?

Ok thank u that makes sense, I'll watch out for that on anything going forward ,

It's also possible that you have developed an intolerance to the protein in coconuts. Celiacs typically develop intolerance over time to one or more non-gluten foods. Dairy, eggs, soy, corn are common ones but it can be anything. It's the sign of a dysfunctional immune system that is at the heart of celiac disease in the first place. I have some degree of intolerance to eggs, peanuts and some tree nuts now after being a celiac for 20 years.

Eating out is absolutely the biggest risk for celiacs there is. You just have no control of how or where food is cooked and how it is handled by kitchen staff.

I found the filling station in Glasgow brahead to b the only place that took it seriously, i was given my own server too even for drinks ! If in Glasgow again i would definitely go there for food

I also want to mention that one medium coconut has about 36g of dietary fiber, which is a lot, so the bloating could also be due to having so much fiber. If you do eat processed coconut, as @trents mentioned, be sure it is not contaminated and is gluten-free, and even then, perhaps eat less of it due to its high fiber content.

Thank u, i don't eat coconut as a rule , my pain early hours of today was due to a white magnum ice cream , i stupidly only looked for the bold ingredients and thought it was safe ..... definitely not safe for me so that was my first and last magnum ice-cream,

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
