Kitchen replacements?

Diagnosed this past week.

What kitchen tools and accessories need to be replaced? can certain items be sanitized instead of replaced?

Items I'm questioning:

- pots and pans

- mixing bowls

- hand mixer

- stand mixer & attachments & bowls (this would be devastating)

- cookie sheets

- cutting boards

- cooking utensils (silicone)

- knives

- colanders

- whisks

- ceramic baking dishes

- measuring cups (plastic) (dry and liquid)

- ceramic mixing bowls

- stainless mixing bowls

- ceramic pie pans

- ice cream scoop (I have used it to ladle batters into muffin tins and things)

- crockpot

I think that's all that comes to mind...

Thanks!

I’ll start with the easy category: Anything metal or ceramic that can be thoroughly cleaned so no residue is visible (not a lot of nooks and crannies) is ok.

Sanitizing will not remove/destroy gluten.  It has to be physically removed.

I’d replace the cutting board if it has any visible scratches.

I agree, and most people do just fine with a deep cleaning of all of the items, but the cutting board would be the most problematic item.

Welcome to the forum! This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):    This article may also be helpful:

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.

I was commenting on the report saying it did not mention migraines! Yes it does last paragraph says have not seen any evidence that Celiac cause migraines! I thought this was about truth?

It has been known for some years that celiacs suffer from migraines at a higher rate than the general populatation. It is an established symptom.
