Camping And Thawed Out Hamburger Rolls?

We hope to be going camping as soon as it warms up some.

We have a Pop-Up Camper and just a very small Refridegerator

How long will the hamburger rolls, english muffin and bread

keep if not frozen. Haven't tried it yet only been gluten-free for 3 months

now. Finally found a store that has gluten-free products. Whole Foods in

Raleigh and Cary NC. 100 miles round trip so will have to stock up

whenever I go. Appreciate finding out if it will be alright if they are

thawed out for a couple of days. Hope to be gone for about a

week in May or June.

Gluten-free breads get stale very fast. They won't get moldy any faster, but they will end up as crumbs sooner. Might want to plan to use up the breads in the first 2-3 days and then do bread-free meals after that to avoid disappointment. You can use corn tortillas to wrap sandwich fillings, or scoop them up with gluten-free crackers like Nut Thins. But don't expect the bread products to be like normal wheat breads.

I've taken thawed out hamburger rolls and bread on road trips in a cooler, and they kept ok in the cooler (put them in ziplock baggies to keep them from getting wet... but I have to say, without being able to warm them up in a toaster or microwave, they were just nasty.

I think you'd be better off with Real Foods Corn Thins, Yeah they work as a thick cracker, but they also make good crunchy sandwiches with pb&j on them or lunchmeats and cheese or any other topping you can think of.

Camping world sells freezers for traveling that run off of a cigarette lighter. They come in three different sizes. I think the one we have is a norcold. We have a 35 ft fifthwheel that we took to Alaska and I needed the extra freezzer for gluten-free stuff. It works great and I now use it when I make my quarterly trip to stock up on gluten-free foods. I put in the back of my SUV and off I go. It was a great investment for us......

Please pm if you have any ?

I've let bread thaw out before and the bread will usually last about a week for me.

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.

Some interesting articles regarding the use of Zinc Carnosine to help heal gastric ulcers, gastritis and intestinal permeability. I would consult a medical professional about it's use. https://www.nature.com/articles/ncpgasthep0778 https://www.rupahealth.com/post/clinical-applications-of-zinc-carnosine---evidence-review https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7146259/ https://www.fallbrookmedicalcenter.com/zinc-l-carnosine-benefits-dosage-and-safety/

He is. Which makes everything even more difficult. I’m not a believer in “staying for the kids” but I have nowhere to go and it’s not just me, it’s me plus my babies. We live in a beautiful place, lots of land in the country and me and the kids love the place we’ve called home for their entire lives. But Im seeing that he’ll never change, that my kids deserve a happy healthy Momma, and that staying in this as is will be the early death of me. Then I look at the scars covering my entire body…this disease and the chronic stress I’ve been enduring for years that tell me I’m no longer beautiful and no one will ever look at me with interest again. I try self care, try to give myself grace so I can just start loving myself enough to gain strength but the slightest sparkle in my eye and skip in my step attracts his wrath and it all comes crashing ten fold. Life is just absolutely railing me from every single direction leaving me wanting to wave that white flag bc I don’t feel like there’s much hope no matter what happens.
