ok.. i sooooo did not want to go this route but i am getting married a month from tomarrow

and can not fit into my wedding gown

long story short.. my first year of being gluten-free i gained 36 pounds because i was so sick before hand..blah blah.. we've all heard it before.. anyways.. i have been eating really well for the past 6 months and going to the gym 4 days a week and i hike my dog for an hour every morning and i have lost 20 pounds!! yayy!! butttt..................

these last 10 just wont come off.... and i dont want to take diet pills forever.. just for a few weeks.. i know i can continue to lose weight the correct way when i get home from my wedding.. but i also have a $2000 wedding gown i HAVE to fit in.

so anwyas.. any suggestions or if anyone knows which ones are gluten-free that would be great!!

thanks!

coleen

Good luck Coleen! Be careful with diet pills. Some list wheat grass as an ingredient and, though it is technically considered gluten free, it is a BIG no no for me and most other celiacs. I'm sorry I don't have any more information on gluten free diet pills. I take One A Day Weight Smart vitamins. They're supposed to help you lose weight, but they're not a diet pill.

I take Hydroxycutt with caffeine in it. I've lost 15 pounds so far. Nowadays they don't have anything bad in them. Although if you have thyroid problems, they're not recommended.

Drink more cold water with lemon and unsweetened green tea than you think you can stand, that definitely helps take the weight off!

a gallon a day!

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
