Mmkay, this is a little weird. The "skinny kid with pot-belly" was pre-gluten-free thing, right? I'm starting to get that way now!!! I feel like I'm going to burst! I never dealt with this before. Only related to it was I lost a lot of weigh and had the sereve pain, yeah, you guys know.

I'm guessing I'm getting glutened and I'm always bloated.

Gas-X doesn't really help with bloating. I need suggestions, bad!!! I'm tired of my stomach hurting. <_< Thanks :)

have you tried charcoal capsules? they help me when I have that problem, I take tham 2 @ a time until I get relief but not over 8 or so in 24 hrs. sounds like you got glutened or are just clearing out from your first gluten free diet. hoping for better days for you!! :) evie

Check the label on Gas-X. I vaguely recall that it has gluten. Ironically many of the OTC meds for bloating have dairy or gluten ingredients, which just exacerbate our symptoms. I drink strong peppermint tea for cramping pain and yoga positions for bloating after gluten or dairy contamination.

I just want to second the activated charcoal. My doc just put me on that one tablet three times per day to kill some of the bloat in my lower abdomen...and it seems to be helping.

You need to call the company for any OTC product but especially for tummy ones. Sometimes I wonder if they know about the delayed reactions for gluten and put it in on purpose so we keep needing their meds. I used to take Immodium liquid as a preventitive every day. Now I wonder how much extra damage the gluten in that did.

To help with the pain you could try a gentle massage start on the left side near the pubic bone and using your index and middle finger massage in gentle but firm circles, move slowly up the side of your abdomen and then under the area right under your ribs, then go down the other side until you end up where you started. Breathe slowly and deeply while you do this. A hot water bottle on your tummy for a few minutes before you start the massage can be nice.

If you know yoga I found doing the inverted stance called a shoulder stand and then bringing my knees to my chest helped too. DON'T TRY THIS IF you don't already know yoga or you have back problems. And don't do it with other folks in the room, the whole object is to expell the gas :D

I hope you get some relief soon.

Is it possible you could be intolerant to something else other than the gluten? I still can't digest fat very well, so if I eat too much, I bloat up like a severely pregnant woman.

I started with the bloat after going gluten free - go figure! I have had some relief by taking digestive enzymes before meals.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

Thankyou so much for your words. Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
