Rice Krispies?

Hi...i was wondering if Rice Krispie Treats have gluten in them. It says it contain maltodextrin, so i'm not sure. Thanks for the help! :D

No. Sorry but rice krispies have malt in them. Malt=gluten. You can easily make your own treats by using a gluten-free rice crisp cereal (there are several brands, I cannot think of the name) and kraft marshmellows. Very yummy :)

Rice Krispies are a nono.

But, Envirokids Koala Crunch is a rice krispy like cereal, but chocolate. And, they would make YUMM-O rice krispy treats!

They actually make those already. Envirokids Krispy Bars or something...SO GOOD!

I just saw in Safeway the other day that Kellogs has made an Organic Rice Krispies! :P Anyone know if these are gluten free?

i highly doubt it

i think all kellogs cereals have gluten in them.

No. On their website it lists organic malt as an ingredient. Malt=gluten.

I actually sent them an email because I saw that too. The problem is the whole Malt issue.....is it made from barley or corn. Supposedly if its made in USA then it should be corn. ( ? ) I don't know. <_< If it's not one thing it's always another.

Unless the malt specifically says corn or rice malt in the label, malt is always barley.

That includes, um, all but two mainstream cereals :rolleyes: Stupid companies...

I eat those every morning as my cereal on the go bar....they are aweome, the berries not too bad, but the choco one is delicous!!!!!!!

      Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

      I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

      Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
