Hi, Does anyone know if vanilla extract, baking soda and chocolate chips have any gluten in them? We want to make some chocolate chip cookies and need some advice! Thanks

Pure baking soda is fine, most baking powder is fine but check the label to be sure, pure vanilla extract is gluten-free but you want to make sure it is pure, & as for chocolate chips, seems I've seen somewhere that some might NOT be okay... can't remember for sure. Hershey's, Nestle's & Ghiardelli are supposed to be safe though.

Nestle Chocolate Chips are gluten-free! :)

You always need to read the label--don't assume that a product is gluten-free until you check!

McCormicks vanilla extract is ok... Nestle chips i believe are all set too. Happy Baking!! :D

Thanks, I know, I have started reading labels but some of the ingredients I have never heard of. I'm not sure if there is hidden gluten in there! I wish everything would say gluten in the ingredience or gluten freee would be even better. I was buying Cozy shack rice pudding and reading the label, to my surprise it says Gluten Free right on the product. I then pick up a chocolate Cozy Shack and it also says Gluten Free, so I bought that one too! Things need to be labeled better.

Careful, some vanilla extracts- a lot actually- are made with grain alcohols. I make my own. Very easy- 3 vanilla beans in skinny bottle with plain brandy for a month. Delicious!

      That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

      Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

      Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
