Almost phorgot to phil the crockpot phor dinner! Tomato sauce is not phun to kleen off the off-white walls when you hurry and splash!

flourgirl Apprentice

Somebody on here had a name of Gluten Tag! I thought 'twas phunny. I responded to a post starting with gluten abend (guten abend being good evening), but got no response. Oh well.

Will be heading off to the movies shortly.

Skeeter and I have each read The Tale of Despereaux.

Must be time to start singin' again. At a loss for my own words!

and I told her we would go see the movie so that . . .

Darn210 Enthusiast

we could see how they change books when they make movies out of them.

flourgirl Apprentice

I couldn't tell you the last time I went to a movie. Too cheap (me, I mean)

flourgirl Apprentice

I always like the books better than movies. Seems I'm always disappointed in the movie if I read the book first.

Darn210 Enthusiast

Oh!! There's Emily . . . um . . . we weren't talkin' about cha or nuttin' while you were gone . . . :rolleyes::lol:

flourgirl Apprentice

There's always so much in books that can't be portrayed in a movie.

Hence . . . going early to get the matinee pricing.

flourgirl Apprentice

Somehow my imagination works differently than the producers

Darn210 Enthusiast

Also going on a day when Smack has a birfday party to go to . . . saving the price of an admission.

Sorry, I think I got you mixed up with another poster.

I hadn't been eating gluten free before having the antibody test done. I started eating gluten free after having the test done because the gastro PA told me to eat gluten-free for 6 months. I'm now 3 months in.

I tend to agree with RMJ. Your doc took the reasonable and practical approach to diagnosis. All things considered, it was the right way to go. However, if you have first degree relatives that show signs of possible celiac disease, urge them to get formally tested before they start the gluten free diet.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.
