Over the past few days I've been CRAVING dairy. I have been eating 1 cup yogurt for breakfast, 1 cup lowfat cottage cheese with lunch, and at least 2 glasses of milk/day. I constantly think about milk. It's so weird. What do u think this means?

The only thing this would naturally mean to me, would be lack of dairy. I had this same problem after my son was born 5 years ago. I couldn't tolerate milk when i was pregnant...it would give me horrible burning stomach pains and then i would throw it up...ewwwwww...yuck!! Anyway, the day he was born i remember literally smuggling and drinking carton of milk, after carton of milk out of the "help yourself room" at the hospital. I couldn't get enough milk...it was insane!!

If you are not getting ill effects from the dairy I would think your body is wanting calcium. You consumption is not out of line, most of us should have at least this much in our diet and if you are not reacting enjoy.

If you are not intolerant, I say enjoy it! It could be the nutrients in it that your body craves, or it could be the creamy consistency of it that you are wanting. There are much worse things in life to crave than milk, cottage cheese, and yogurt!

I have read that anytime you crave something and eat it daily you should suspect and allergy/intolerance. I'd stay away from it for two weeks, then eat it again. If it doesn't bother you at all, then enjoy!! I used to crave dairy and ate it all the time; I'm casein intolerant -- I didn't think it was making me sick, it was only getting away from it for a while that confirmed what the tests showed, that it was making me sick.

I agree with Carla. My son craves dairy, and NEEDS it all the time, but it makes him to be in a bad mood, or hyper, it's never good. He won't believe me, unfortunately. My youngest daughter will sneak milk products when they're in the house, but they'll make her throw up, and she has been tested intolerant to all dairy.

I used to crave potatoes and rye bread, couldn't get enough of them, thought I couldn't live without them. But I am very intolerant to both!

Dairy doesn't give you ANY usable calcium at all. In fact, it leaches calcium from your body. It's a myth made up by the dairy industry that you should drink milk for calcium. You'll get it from green, leafy vegetables (just like the cows get it from green grass, not milk, for their strong bones).

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️

Yeah, that sounds super familiar. When inflammation levels are high — especially at the start of changing your diet — the body often develops a fructose and lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…
