It's not for pregnancy ....

but since celiacs are allergic to SO much, as i am, has anyone had any problems with condoms?

i dunno if thats to much of a risky question to ask and if it is, i'm sorry, but if someone could let me know, that would be good. thank you

Not a problem if you use them in the conventional way.

some people do have a latex allergy, though I have never heard anything about there being a connection with celiac disease. if so, latex condoms wouldn't be a good choice, but they make polyurethane ones that are safe for those with latex allergies. do be aware, however, that most condoms are lubricated (you don't want them breaking!), and some lubricants irritate some people - again, nothing I've heard connected with celiac. and, finally, a handful of companies still make condoms with spermicidal lubricant, which is usually based on nonoxyl-9, which is known to be quite a strong irritant for some people (and why these types of condoms are slowing coming off the market).

so, while gluten isn't something to be concerned about (unless you're talking about flavored condoms for use in oral sex, in which case I would check the ingredients and call the manufacturer on the source of 'natural flavors' as applicable), there are plenty of other things to be aware of regarding reactions to condoms.

anyone think I've been down this long, drawn out road before? ;):D

Yeah, I am "allergic" to that stuff. I never had an allergy panel for it, but GOD do I *know* that I can't use it. Ok, any more would be WAY TOO MUCH INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am totally allergic to the non-9 and have had some milder reactions to other condoms. Good luck finding a safe brand.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
