so my girlfriend brang home some really really good looking corn tortia chips they are by the brand Don Poncho, the ingrediants look safe, but if its not labeld specificly gluten free then i dont tend to even try it (even though lots of things labeld gluten free seem to be more risky aka mission chips/ soy crisps)

just wondering if anyone knows if these are safe or had a reaction, i need junk food cheap junk food that i can use for lunchs and stuff besides just veggies and fruits, im eating plently but im eating so healthy that im still dropping lots of weight and i need to start eating some stuff to put some pounds back on( as directed by my doctor- but of course he told me to go eat things like weat thins since he has no clue about the gluten-free thing)

I don't know about those chips, but I do know Lays Stax are made in a gluten-free facility. If you're avoiding dairy though, they have contamination issues with dairy, but not gluten.

I have been told that they have a gluten free menu on their web site.

I have not checked it out. That is one of the few restaurants where you actually have a choice.

Lister, check out their site.

Me either. I eat Natural Ruffles with no problems, but I've read about people having problems with regular Ruffles. I never have, they've always been a safe way for me to add some calories.

Ahhh I think you're thinking of Don Pablo's. They're chips in the restaurants that I've been in having always been in shared fryers, but I've had the chips sold in the super market before. I'd think they would be safe, but don't quote me on it.

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
