Hey y'all --

Great news!! A friend of mine is a mgr at Harper's in 5pts and has worked there for several years. She heard about my "issues" with food through a mutual friend and I was in there tonite to have a drink at the bar. She told me that Harpers had developed a gluten-free menu and that they even use separate pans for the items prepared gluten-free!!

I am SO stoked. :D That makes 3 restaurants in Cola that I feel safe eating at. (The other two being Baan Sawan and El Burrito) Obviously since I just heard about it tonite, I haven't tried it yet. But I am very excited. :) Just thought I'd pass along the good news.

Plus, a kudos to me for helping spread the word and hopefully being part of the change in their menu. She said they'd had multiple requests, so that means I was part of the multiples! B)

I will let you know how it goes once I eat there!

I will post the copy of hte gluten-free menu she gave me tomorrow sometime.

Courtney

You would think any business would see the wisdom of honoring a $50 gift certificate on the basis of customer satisfaction alone, apart from any questions about software glitches.

So there was no physical, plastic card involved, correct?

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?
