I Made Pigs In Blankets

So I decided to see if I would be able to make pigs in blankets for New Years. Well it was a success. I used Chebe frozen breadsticks for the dough. I just let the bread sticks thaw out, then took 2 breads sticks together, smooshed them down a bit, and wrapped around the mini hotdog. Then baked according to the directions on the back of the Chebe package. They were great!!

You know, Georgie, little piglets you wrap up in a warm blanket when they get cold, especially in winter.:lol::P

Hehe!! Ursula you are to funny.

Pigs in a blanket are those little hot dogs that have dough wrapped around them. They're served as h'ourduerves (sp?) at parties and stuff.

:lol: We used to put our little piglets under a heat lamp, they tend to try and eat the blankets

Congratulations on the experiment. Isn't it super when things actually work the first time! :P

I love them in Chebe bread. I even had my less than understanding brother eat one, yes just one, last year and say they were pretty good. granted he hasnt touched them since then. His loss. I will, however, be making them again for the Superbowl!

I have not made my own juices but have made my own granola copycat recipe from Trader Joes Turmeric ginger granola. Have you made your own juices? blending vs cold pressed what is better?

Sadly, I just now see the extremely tiny and hard to read wording on the label from some I got from nuts.com last year and it's below the certified gluten free sign which is more obvious. Another concern is that there's no expiration date to be found on any of the packages I have gotten.. It's confusing because they claim these are certified gluten free which Is why I got them due to having celiac. Looks like Tierra Farm has the lesser of the allergens, specifically wheat, so I will have to give them a try. Thanks
