Healthy Hemp Tortillas

I found these yesterday at the grocery store:

They're quite tasty, have a good floppy-tortilla texture, much happier for the hypoglycemics/diabetics, and would go fabulously for wrapping up well spiced stuff. (Macro Nut. Info: 13g fat (2.5 omega-3), 10g carb (8 fiber), 10g protein).

Expensive, but good for those on-the go, but filling, lunches.

Tiffany, which store?

DingoGirl Enthusiast

Great news, Tiffany, as the tiny corn tortillas are frustrating for wraps......and according to their site, they are sold at about 15 stores in my area. :) thanks!

marciab Enthusiast

These are also soy, dairy, corn, egg and yeast free ... which means ... I can have them too ...

Yeah .. Thanks Tif ...

The other hemp ones I found had soy in them ...

I've had these for a while now - off and on. The flavor is unique, but they do fold up into a burrito fairly well. There are also some rice tortillas that are pretty good - when you heat them just right. I haven't figured out a consistent way of heating them to perfection yet.

I like them. I've posted about them a couple of times. Very low net carbs. They make another one without gluten also.

I haven't seen these in a store around here, but I'll look. They can be ordered online from the bakery. (You have to go to the online order form itself to see the product. It isn't shown on the first page you see when you click on "order." This is a new product for them; I guess they haven't updated that particular page yet. But the online order form does contain all products.

Thanks. This is one food I've been missing. I used to spread hummus on whole wheat tortillas, add other veggies, and call it lunch all the time. Corn tortillas just aren't the same.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
