Im wondering whether to start taking it again as my main supplement.

Sorry, but it's not gluten-free.

I take Theralac for probiotics (not Threelac, which is a different one).

Plus, Primal Defense doesn't have vitamins, so you'd still want to take those. I like Wild Oats vitamins because they're labeled gluten-free.

Oh, thanks, I didnt know it wasnt gluten free.

Ill just stick with the separate pro-biotics than

THANKS!

Im still adjusting to whats got gluten and whats not :(

Primal Defense lists barley grass on the label. It's important to read everything you buy, every time you buy it because recipes can change.

The one I take has several strains, similar to Primal Defense. You can read about it at Open Original Shared Link. I missed the Primal Defense!! But this one's great!

I have a question.

Is it safe to take this along with aciphilodis (spelling? ) and l'glutamine?

Or should I ditch the aciphilodis? and just take the theralac and l'glutamine?

Thanks

About a year ago I was following a diet and supplement plan that, after the initial detox stage, included Primal Defense. I improved a lot prior to I started up the supplements and yogurt, and was very puzzled as to why my G.I. symptoms came back again. It wasn't until I started reading here on this forum that I discovered that all of my "green" supplements that were supposed to be so good for me contained barley grass and I was glutening myself every day! I was also drinking barley grass powder mix. Yikes :o And to top it off, I have since discovered a casein intolerance. Talk about a double-wammy!

Go ahead and take your acidophilus. I take other probiotics (acidophilus and bifidus) along with the Theralac ... but I'm on a boat load of long-term antibiotics for the Lyme Disease and we're trying to prevent candida infection.

I don't think the l glutamine has anything to do with the probiotics, so it should be safe to take. You can ask at Whole Foods to be sure.

I take many, many supplements ... I don't think it's the same as drug interactions. Some supplements will make others not absorb as well, but it shouldn't actually make you ill.

Artgirl :o , glad you found out!!

Thats interesting....my gyny put me on a yeast free diet and thats when i finally got rid of my bloated belly. Are candidas and celiac related?

Should I be watching my sugar intake?

Could the reason im now eating fruit be causing my bloated belly symptoms?

Any thoughts and candidas related stuff you can tell me about would be appreciated.

thanks :):lol::rolleyes:

You may want to check out the thread on leaky gut it may be helpful. I haven't been through it throughly but I bet if you post your query there and in Related Disorders you will get some help with this.

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.
    • Churro
No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
