Well, I've never liked them, so this is one thing I won't miss (the same goes for Oreo cookies, always hated them  ).

Well, I did like those samoas (however that's spelled), but I've never really had much of a sweet tooth. Still, I'm planning on attempting to duplicate the recipe one of these days.

What I'd really like now and then however, is a box of gluten-free Triscuits.

I was just diagnosed in January And I really miss girl scout cookies...My oldest daughter came home the other day from work and said "look what I bought for everyone." She had a half a dozen boxes of cookies in a bag. I was not a happy camper

My 10 yr. old daughter is a girl scout and has Celiac and we had to sell a hundred boxes. I just left them in my car so my husband and her did not have to see them. This was there first year of not being able to eat them. It made her a little depressed :(

Yes, no Girl Scout Cookies is a major downer :( However there is a thread in the Cooking and Baking tips Forum that has recipes or links to duplicate the Samoas and Thin Mints. Here's the link:

I sure will miss the taste of them - but I definitely won't miss how I felt after I ate them.

That's horrible. They should have offered some alternative to your daughter.

Dang! I thought you were going to tell me they had a gluten free one. I was leaving Wal-Mart today and the cutest little girl asked if I'd buy them. I wanted to say "yes, I'll buy them all". Oh well, that was a different life, I feel so much better that it's worth it. I think I'll eat my M&M's now.

 THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! I swear every office I walk by at work has a box of cookies on the corner of the desk, and of course the little Troopers are in the grocery store every time I go - looking darling and plaintive. I may end up giving them a donation. But this morning after passing by their wares one more time ,I came home and made killer browinies! It's not the same thing, but it'll do...it allows me to be creatively aggressive instead of victim-ish - which is how I feel a lot of the time. And now that I think of it, I'm using my own Girl Scout skills by making my own confections instead of eating theirs!

What kind of leader requires this of a scout?

Grrrrr.....

Lol they are! I was driving around the mall in a nearby town close to mine around 7 or so and spotted them. They had this booth set up at one of the stores and they were dancing, trying to advertise for the cookies! I thought it was cute :)

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
