Could This Be Really True?

Could i really not have allergies anymore? is this possible? the pollen count is the highest it's been, record highs actually. and i haven't had a symptom. I've suffered all my life with allergies in the spring. I see everyone around me sneezing etc, my daughter's eyes are swollen. she's miserable and that was me all my life. I was diagnosed in October and have been gluten free since and have had realtively little trouble. I haven't been tempted to have any of my favorite baked goods, those were my down fall. I figure at some point i'll add treats from whole foods bakery gluten-free brand. as of now, I am still trying to figure out all the things that are happening to me.

and could it be that my allergies aren't going to trouble me anymore? I have a on and off hoarse voice, a bit of runny nose and some tiny congestion. but nothing like everyone around me who are suffering.

Some people have nasal congestion as a symptom of gluten. Maybe all these years you've had mild allergies that seemed much worse because of the gluten.

i have been off all allergy medicine since feb 1. of this year. i was recently diagnosed in december and started to feel better so i cut out some allergy meds. i was on 2 inhalers for asthma and a nasal spray morning and night to breath. i have not taken anything, just a little saline spray if i get a cold. my primary doc agrees and thinks it great..on the other hand my allergist said "gluten , bologna" he does not agree with this. and feels i should continue my inhalers. i haven't and fingers crossed i feel better. good luck with the baked goods from whole foods. i love them.

My allergies are for the most part gone also. My allergist explained that my immune system was in hyperdrive, the only thing I did not react to on skin testing was beech trees. That was actually when he first suspected celiac and I left the office on a strict elimination diet. I do still have a couple things I am allegic to but haven't needed singulair or my inhalor since diagnosis.

I noticed the same thing too. The whole neighborhood is blooming and I don't even have a stuffy nose. I think I still have some allergies, because I've had a few occasions of allergies since diagnosis, but it wasn't even enough to take medicine, just irritating.

This celiac thing is weird huh?

my allergies changed too - and it was before I went gluten free. I don't know exactly why, just that I was able to deal without daily claritin. all for the good, I say, since it hadn't gone OTC at that time! :)

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️

Yeah, that sounds super familiar. When inflammation levels are high — especially at the start of changing your diet — the body often develops a fructose and lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…
