Food For Life Millet Bread

I tried this bread for the first time today and I was not impressed. The bread can be used as a hand weight since it is so heavy frozen. From everything I have read, you keep it frozen and then have to toast it before eating. I toasted it but it never softened and it was so tough to eat even with Wild Oats concorde grape fruit spread. Suggestions please as I would just like to have a piece of bread once in a while!

From what many say, it seems the best breads are homemade. I have used millet flour in breads too, and it works well. So it's obviously not the flour which is the problem. Also, homemade bread is considerably cheaper than buying it.

If you want to make your own, but need a good recipe, perhaps this one will do:

I haven't tried it, but the reviews are positive.

I've never purchased gluten-free bread, so I can't make any suggestions on that.

When my dd first went gluten-free, we started out with the FFL Millet Bread. Then we started experimenting with homemade bread. Currently, my dd's favorite bread recipe is from this website:

If you decide to try it, PM me and I'll give you the little "hints" that I've found to get it to work. The pic in my avatar is how it comes out for me.

Wow, that looks just like Country White Bread!

I'd love it if you could post your tips here--perhaps those tips would apply to all gluten-free bread baking?

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
