Super Size White Corn Tortillas!

I just saw Mission Super Size White Corn Tortillas in an ad and went to the Mission website. They appear to be gluten-free.

Here is the ingredient list that I copied from the website:

GROUND CORN TREATED WITH LIME, WATER, CELLULOSE GUM, PROPIONIC ACID (TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS), PHOSPHORIC ACID (PRESERVATIVE), BENZOIC ACID (TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS), DEXTROSE, GUAR GUM, AMYLASE.

I hope this means that we can have large burritos and enchiladas again without using delicate rice tortillas! :D Has anyone tried these yet?

That would be awesome!! I have a quesadilla (sp) maker and the little ones make all the good stuff inside ooze out. Not to mention having big enchiladas!!! I hope they hit the stores soon.

Food for Life makes burrito size Brown Rice Tortillas. I make burritos all the time with them.

They sell them at Whole Foods.

Broncobux - how do you make the Food for Life tortillas soft? I use them all the time but no matter what I do (microwave, heat on stove, just defrost on counter) they are always too chewy to be considered a burrito <_<

They were advertised in yesterday's Safeway ad.

I put each one in the microwave for a short time before I fill it. Then I bake all six of them. Yummy.

Darn I am disappointed. I went to the store looking for these, thinking I was going to get some thing bigger then what we have been using. But these are ones we have been using for some time now. I was all excited thinking I was going to get some thing like a burrito size. They are only a little bigger then a regular corn tortilla. But they are good eating.

I know...I was disappointed too. They have the same texture as regular corn tortillas but they taste a little better.

I toast my rice wraps for 1 minute, then put in the stuff, wrap, and put back in toaster for a couple more minutes. Works fine! I find that some batches are softer than others also!

I just ordered some Ivory Teff Wraps made by La Tortilla Factory. I made a wrap with it and they were quite good. They are a larger size and very pliable. Of course, I had to stick the rest in the freezer so who knows how good they will be next time but so far they are a great substitue for flour tortillas.

We buy a brand from shop rite. I'm not sure of the name of it, but it is Mexican. I has red and white and green on the package. Corn tortillas - they are the smaller size, but good.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
