Custom Member Title

Well, I'm finally over 500 posts and was wanting to customize the Member Title (under my Avatar).

I went to Edit Profile and filled in the "Custom Member Title"

When I finished, I got a message saying that my date of birth was incorrect. Now, I didn't touch that feature. It still had the dashes in each box for DOB. I don't want to put in my birthdate. Do I have to in order to be able to edit the Member Title?????

I didn't know the answer--and hoped that someone who did would post.

I just went and tried to delete my date of birth, and it wouldn't delete! The month did, but I couldn't delete the date and year. I was trying to see if my custom member title would still work without them.

The only thing I can think of is to PM Scott and ask him.

That's weird! I don't have my birthdate entered and the website will not let me change anything until I do but I refuse! I guess I am stuck with the title I did a few months ago since it did not stop me before. Come on, Scott, we should not have to tell everyone our birthdays!

      Celiac for dummies

      I was just diagnosed at 26 after accidental finding. Any simple tips for newbies? Things a non celiac would never think of? I already went through my prescriptions and identified some medications that have gluten. Is there a beginners guide? Celiac for dummies?

      Wow! Thank you @trents I really appreciate the responses. This line of diagnosis has me questioning a lot of symptoms over the course of my life. Very validating and very much a bummer at the same time.

      Yep, you've got celiac disease. That is a high score. In the U.K. you could have been diagnosed on the TTG-IGA score alone and not needed an endoscopy/biopsy. But I realize your physicians were not looking for celiac disease in the first place. But it also makes me wonder how much of your bowel issues are tied to celiac disease whose onset may actually have...

But it also makes me wonder how much of your bowel issues are tied to celiac disease whose onset may actually have been years ago. Taking years to get a celiac diagnosis after onset is typical because the symptoms mimic so many other bowel diseases and many of us have "silent" celiac for years, meaning we have no or few symptoms until damage the small bowel lining becomes quite advanced and other symptoms, e.g. iron deficiency anemia, start showing up.
