A Celiac Buddy

I was speaking with my mom today and she goes to church and is good pals with a lady who also is also celiac. They got to talking and my mom's friend offered to take my daughter out to dinner with her (to PF Changs) where she often goes out to eat and has eaten there gluten-free successfully several times. I can't even describe how excited I am! First of all, Chinese food is my daughter's favorite and second, it's so awesome that she'll get to go out to eat with someone who is aware of what needs to happen to eat gluten-free at a restaurant and is a pro at it!

It got me to thinking, as a non-celiac (so far, anyway I'm getting tested at my physical in July) it's hard to wear those shoes...I wish all kiddos with celiac could have an adult celiac "buddy" to help show them the ropes.

I told my daughter and she was SO excited. She said she'll come back home and tell me all about how to order gluten-free. :)

That is fabulous! I hope your daughter has a great time, and that those two will become good friends.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Thank you for the links to the articles.  Interesting reading. I'll be telling my brother in law because he has a lot of pain
