I was turned on to this probiotic supplement... a woman in the store told me it was good for us celiacs. she meets with dietitians one a week at a celiac meeting.

so I when to the pharmacy to ask the pharmacist about this.. he said it would be good for me. it promotes good bacteria in the intestines.. so I've been on it for 4days nows.. taking two capsules a day.. I have had less pain.. and my bowels.. well put it this way.. my movements are non stressful and how do you say...it's a proud moment. I was wondering if anyone else has had these probiotic.. they are very expensive I paid 83.00 for bottle they have to be refrigerated. All I can say is it's been very beneficial for me....

I think many of us take probiotics, or have done so for a period in order to get gut bacteria to where they should be.

What brand are you taking? $83 is very expensive.

$83 bucks, wow that's a pricey probiotic. What is the name of the probiotic you are taking? I also think they are a good product but I think I never paid $83 bucks.

i take a multitude and don't feel quite the same effect they had when i first started with just one. is it possible to take too many? should i switch brands here and there? i wonder if they are just helping the bacteria start other problems i'll say or contributing to bad bacteria or whatever am i overwhelimg my gut with them. it seemed if i gobbled more it had a positive effect. now i can take like 10 pills at once and not even feel. (a variety of two kinds and pau d'arco)

Scotty I think you may have taken too much of a good thing. You do not need to take them indefinately. My herbalist had me on one type for 4 months (just one pill a day, although the bottle recommended 3 ) Then we switched to a different probiotic bacteria in the same brand of probiotics and I take 1 pill a day and it has been 2 months.

I take a great dairy free and gluten free probitic that costs under 30 dollars. It's made by Vinco's.

Thanks for your response.  Everything you mentioned he is and has been doing.  Tobacco is not the same as nicotine.  Nicotine, in the form of a patch, does not cause gastrointestinal irritation.  Smoking does. He is not smoking.  Please do your research before stating false information. Dr. Paul Newhouse has been doing research on nicotine the last 40 years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Im so frustrated and still getting the run around trying to reprove my celiac disease which my past primary ignored for 25 years.I understand that theres a ray of medical that doctors are limited too but not listening and telling the patient ( me) that im not as sensitive as I think and NOT celiac!Correction Mr white coat its not what I think but for cause and affect and past test that are not sticking in my medical records.I get sick violently with foods consumed, not eating the foods will show Im fabulous. After many blood draws and going through doctors I have the HLA- DQ2 positive which I read in a study that Iran conducted that the severity in celiac is in that gene.Im glutenfree and dealing with related issues which core issue of celiac isn't addressed. My skin, right eye, left leg diagestive issues affected. I have high blood pressure because im in pain.Im waisting my time on trying to reprove that Im celiac which is not a disease I want, but unfortunately have. It  has taken over my life personally and professionally. How do I stop getting medically gaslight and get the help needed to bounce back if I ever do bounce back to normal? I thought I was in good care with " celiac specialist " but in her eyes Im good.Im NOT.Sibo positive, IBS, Chronic Fatigue just to name a few and its all related to what I like to call a ghost disease ( celiac) since doctors don't seem to take it seriously.

@Martha Mitchell, your reaction to the lens implant with gluten sounds like it could be an allergic reaction rather than a celiac reaction. It is possible for a celiac to be also allergic to gluten as it is a protein component in wheat, barley and rye.

Scott I also have different symptoms than most people. It affects me bad. Stomach ache, headache, nauseous, heart racing, whole body shaking, can't walk then my throat starts to close. It attacks my nervous system. The only thing that saves me is a 1/2 of Xanax...it calms down my nervous system
