The crust is casein-free and soy-free too. They are really aware of cc and are even trying to come up with a casein-free cheese :)

Oh, and they also have gluten-free beer.

:)

Oh My Goodness ! This place is practically down the street from me. I'm soooo going to check it out.

Thanks Mango

BTW, anyone here belong to any support groups? I'm having somewhat of a meltdown.

Yay! I'm near the dentist and you're near the pizza place (I'll trade you LOL)

I think this particular Mtn Mikes is serving as sort of a test site, and if the gluten-free pizza works out for them, they'll expand it to more locations. I hope they sell lots and lots of gluten-free pizzas!

I had cheeseless pizza with tomatoes and pineapple, and a Bard's Tale when I went. It was really good (and soooo fun to be able to go get pizza :D)

I am going to have to find a reason to travel to San Diego from Orange County. Thanks for the information. I hope they open one near me soon.

It's only at the Clairmont location so far. Hopefully they'll have gluten-free pizza at more locations soon!

Three Cheers for Mountain Mike's gluten free pizza in San Diego. My husband and I visited San Diego today to see a special exhibit at the Natural History Museum. We stopped by Mountain Mike's on the way home.

If you plan to visit San Diego Mountain Mike's is not far from Sea World. It is off Interstate 5 a little over a mile on Clairmont Blvd. Exit 22. It made a perfect stop to eat since we had about an 1 hour 1/2 drive home.

I'm very confused... My blood test came out negative, I checked all antibodies. I suppose my Total IgA levels are normal (132 mg/dl), so the test should be reliable. Still, I'm not relieved as I can't tolerate even a single biscuit. I need to talk to my doctor about whether a duodenal biopsy is necessary. But it is really possible to have intestinal damage despite having a seronegative results? I have really strong symptoms, and I don't want to keep skipping university lectures or being bedridden at home.

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.
    • Scott Adams
In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.
    • JettaGirl
This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.
