The small health food store near my house doesn't have it and won't order it for me. Does anyone know where I can buy it around London?

Thanks so much!

Hi 'kschauer' and 'nikki-uk',

If you are a confirmed Coeliac you can get it on Prescription on the NHS.

.

Tapioca flour has become a marginal health requisite for Coeliac disease suffers in the UK.

.

You can check out Open Original Shared Link for all the information on the subject.

.

Hope this is of some help.

.

Best Regards,

David

Thanks, I didn't know I could get it through the NHS.

nikki-uk, Holland and Barrett told me they didn't carry it all, maybe the clerk meant just at his location.

Thanks!

Yes, although I should add most GP's will only do prescriptions if you are a biopsy proven coeliac.

Open Original Shared Link have some more info re: prescription food :)

I expect they sell it at the Whole Foods Market on Kensington High Street. Well worth a visit anyway as they have tonnes of gluten-free foods - even fresh bread!

Do you have any Chinese supermarkets near you? I recently found some in a Chinese supermarket in Birmingham. Was really cheap as well. Located with the rice paper, rice flour etc

I'm just outside Bath, do you want some mailed to you? My Healthfood shop is incredible and supplies me with everything even if they have to special order.

I'm not in the UK but HK influences some of the english labels in our area. Tapioca flour here is referred to as cassava flour.

Have you tried the multicultural food aisle at tesco or asda they do lots of different flours and starches. The other place to try is asian (pakistani/ indian) food stores (there are loads in birmingham) don't know about London.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
