Wow! I Am Enjoying My 2yr Old In The Gluten-free Diet!

I am so happy!! my daughter has been 14 days in the gluten-free world and she is doing great!! today,I had so much fun with her.. we danced Celia Cruz (salsa), we played with pillows, we ran around... and we behave like monkeys!! I had never done this with my daughter, and tonight she was laughing and having so much fun!! I write this with tears in my eyes, because there is nothing more unfair in life than seeing a 2 year old in a hospital, in a hospital gown and having medical procedures!

Today, I felt so good.... seeing that she is better and that my wife and I are being able to help her get better.

I love seeing my daughter happy...

That is so great to hear. It's amazing what a diet change can do for our kids. I just noticed the other day how much more energy my little guy has. He now walks to and from school when picking up his older brother instead of taking just a few steps and wanting to be picked up.

It is truly remarkable.....I still get goose bumps remembering how great it felt to really get my little girl back after she started on the diet. We really didn't see any of her personality until she was over three years old, she was always either asleep or crying. Congratulations on the good health...things will just continue to improve!

      Shingles - Could It Be Related to Gluten/ Celiac

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oh my......will the danger never end? It has seemed like no matter what we do or have done the odds were/are against us. Next they'll tell us that just looking at wheat will be dangerous. Oh well....hang in there.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
