Hanging In There Against The Depression And Anxiety

GF Grammy Newbie

I have had Celiac for years but was only diagnosed recently. I have been reading posts for several weeks and learning more and more. I am grateful for all of the insight and help I received from this forum. I have never had problems with moods or depression until removing gluten from my diet. This is as difficult as the pain is to deal with.

My oldest son was diagnosed with Celiac several years ago. My symptoms were SO different from his that I had no idea that I was suffering with the same thing. He has just posted a song on YouTube that fits how I am feeling with the struggle right now. It is Martina McBride's Anyway. May it encourage all who chose to listen. Open Original Shared Link

Both my daughter and I suffer from depression when we are glutened, mine is mild hers is pretty severe. She also has panic attacks and we are hoping that the longer she is gluten-free (she's only been doing it a couple of months, at 16 she "goofs" a lot) the fewer panic attacks she will have. Its very difficult to go thru.

I have only been gluten free for about 6 weeks and I have been so darn depressed lately. I think it has only hit me recently that this is a complete life change. Combine this with feeling sick all the time and not being able to exercise.

I have heard people say that depression symptoms ease with the gluten-free diet, I guess I'm just waiting for that to kick in. I feel so bad for my fiance who is so patient with me, he could be out having fun but instead is lounging around the house getting bored because I don't want to o anywhere. sigh :(

You need Green Magma in order to attack depression associated with celiac disease.

It worked on me and when my nephew first got depression it worked on him. It takes

24 hours for it to kick in and then energy level shoots way up. Check health stores

for it but not a GNC. Go to Open Original Shared Link and it

should be listed there.

Umm, that has barley in it! I would not eat/take/drink that stuff because it has gluten in it!

That has barley grass and it is certified gluten free and says so right on the label.

yep,

Because its has sprouted and is no longer a grain, it no longer has gluten. No grasses contain gluten as far as I am aware. I used to take something similar in the form of gluten free powdered wheat grass. Must admit it did help the energy levels.

My husband never suffered from depression and anxiety, until after he removed gluten from his diet. Whenever he accidentally is "glutened" he is absolutely unbearably miserable!! It is a hard thing to go through, and I saw the post on the green magma. I will check this out for him! This site is so helpful for dealing with all the stuff that goes along with gluten intolerance. When my husband was diagnosed, we were told, " just don't eat gluten" and given a list of acceptable and unacceptable foods. That was it. This website has been so helpful!

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
