Congratulations. I know you must feel awesome with that great news. My toddler was dx'd in early march. Her test just read greater than 100 then, and when we retested last week, it was still greater than 100. So I am hoping to have some good news in a few more months. I was wondering the same thing about how long it takes for healing.

So did your daugther get checked at 3 months after diagnosis? Cause that's how long it's been for us and it seems a little too early for numbers to drop for me...Do you mind telling me what her level was at 6 months after diagnosis?

I have no idea how long the healing takes, but have u seen any difference since you have gone gluten-free?? That is important in istself.. It does take a while for the numbers to start to go down.. I wouldn't worry unless its a while and they dont go down at all.. then more testing maybe required. That is what happened with my friend. Then they found out her daughter could not even break down processed gluten-free foods. Her GI sent her to another top notch specialist-- another special diet was needed for like years and now she is on the regular gluten-free diet and her numbers have gone down..

So have patience.. As long as you trust your GI, and trust your instincts, and read your labels, you should be ok.. Be glad that your child was Dx'd as an infant and not a 13 year old.. It is much harder.. Now your child will no no other way... That is sort of good..

Any way, God Bless and Stay well

I guess that it depends on the Dr. My daughter it was we think 3 months also and there was no difference at 6 months, she was down to 68, then 6 months later she was up to 72. 3 months after that which is now she is at 42..

But I don't know if this has anything to do with it at all, but when she finally got a gray area biopsy and the pathologist said "base it on the blood wk" she was well over 100 and had gone thru a tremendous growth spurt.

She went from a 7 slim jeans in June 2006 to a size 10 regular by December 2006. Then In Jan 2007 she had t go into a size 12.. The 12's she has been wearing since- but mind you she had no choice the 10's were too small and the 12's too long and she needed a belt.. 12 slim didnt quite make it.. So now (or till now) she has grown enough that they are starting to get short, and she filled them out and is out growing them again. And Is in the Midst of antoher growth spurt. Also in her first growth spurt her bone age jumped 2 years in 6 months.. That is how small she was.. Right now I only have an inch on her (im 4-9) but she weighs in at 5 lbs less than i did when i graduated HS..

Any way enuf of the babbling here

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
