It's my turn to host Bunco and I need some ideas for some goodies. I'll have nuts and chocolate. I think I'll make Cocoa Pebbles rice crispie treats. I need some salt. Any ideas are appreciated. This will be a gluten-free bunco and I think some of the ladies are wondering what I eat so I need some good ideas to show them how normal I am! :P

Ohhhh . . . I miss Bunco . . . tried to get a group started a couple of years back but it just fizzled . . . I think I should try again!!!

I have to tell you, even though you've got the "sweet" . . . I've been thinking a lot lately about chocolate fondue . . . yummmm :P

For salty . . . popcorn or home made chex mix

My elderly aunt calls it "the bongo". How about chips, salsa, guacamole, trader joe's brownies, cheese and gluten-free crackers?

We play once a month and sometimes its called Drunko...thats another story.

How about Buffalo dip

1 8oz cream cheese

1/2 C buffalo sauce

1/2 C Blue cheese dressing ( I use Lighthouse brand light blue cheese) its refrigerated

2 Chicken breast cut up

3 stalks celery

mix all and bake 375 till hot and bubbly, it firms up as it cools

serve with Frito's,

taco dip is good

stuffed potato bites

gluten free crackers with cheese or salsa

rotel cheese dip and corn chips

Have fun!

Great ideas everone. I'll have hubby make the guacomole and chips and salsa are always good.

WendyG, in the Buffalo dip, what is Buffalo sauce? I have never heard of this. The dip sounds good though. Is Buffalo sauce a brand name? Think I can sub ranch dip for the blue cheese? Ooh, rotel dip is good too. I haven't had that in a long time.

Darn 210, what do you use for the corn chex? I haven't made this since going gluten-free.

These are all such great snacks. I think they are afraid of what I'll make since I never eat anything when I'm at someone else's house.

Darn 210, what do you use for the corn chex? I haven't made this since going gluten-free.

Here's all the name brands that I use:

Rice Chex

Health Vally Corn Crunchems (Look just like corn chex)

Glutino Pretzels

Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce

Lawry's Season Salt

McCormicks' onion powder & garlic powder

The first time I made gluten-free chex mix for my daughter she asked . . . "Are you sure you can actually make that at home" (Yes, she was use to store-bought) . . . and I answered . . . "When I was your age, that was the only way you could even get chex mix" . . . She was stunned!!:lol:

Hi, usually use Crystal's hot sauce but Franks looks safe too. I am sure you could sub the ranch for blue cheese. The light house brand is gluten-free and I think it adds a great flavor! its really yummy I bring it everywhere.

Open Original Shared Linkis what I was thinking when I saw Bufalo sauce. I used to LOVE the Chipolte but I don't know that it's gluten-free. It's a Hormel product and it's not on their gluten-free list.

Thanks for the recipes and the brand names! I always loved that chex mix - I think I could get addicted to it.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
