Fast Food French Fries

I have listened to the debate and didn't bother to check the allergen menus, ha ha jokes on me!

Yes, I should have looked for the info myself and I finally did! If you want fast food french fries, stick with Burger King!!! They were the only ones that I found that didn't list wheat or gluten as an allergen in regard to their french fries.

Cripes I am so annoyed with myself for not checking this out myself.

You are opening a can of worms with the mention of fast food fries and the debate on if some are gluten free or not. ;)

My son and I both eat McDonalds fries with no ill effects.

I avoid them all. Better safe than sorry. I have heard BK's are safe, but I am the person that ALWAYS ends up with the mystery prize, a hidden onion ring. :(

Are you sure Burger King's fries are safe? There are always other things in the same fry box like onion rings and what not. Eek!

Burger Kings policy is to have a separate fryer as is the same with most fast food restaurants. I have never seen foods come out of the french fry fryer.

I can only tell you what they do and don't say on their websites and all of them except Burger King says there is wheat in their fries.

I have had too many issues over the last year that it isn't worth it to me to eat something that doesn't bother most people. I don't like being sick and if I had gone to the fast foods websites in the first place then I wouldn't have eaten the fries. MY OWN FAULT!!! but i listened to people on here say it didn't bother them. Again my fault for not checking the companies website. SO I thought it might be a good idea to post this information for those of us that get sick easier and wonder why.

What about Chick-fil- a???? Anyone know about these? The fries are listed as gluten free, so in a bind we get fries and a fruit cup. Has anyone had issues there?

I ONLY eat Chik-fil-A fries. Unfortunately... the closest one is a 2 hour drive away, so they're a rare and special treat!

Their website says they are gluten-free. I would trust them. Pre-gluten-free days I don't recall ever getting anything stray in my fries.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

Thankyou so much for your words. Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
