Thought we could share ideas for the big game....

We'll be throwing together....

Either Pizza Pasta Bake, Potato Flake Chicken, or Turkey Chili (can't decide)

Original Chex Mix (with Rice Chex, Glutino Pretzels, and skipping the bagel chips)

Buffalo Chicken Dip with Tostitos and Celery

and I'm contemplating a recipe I just came across for a caramel nut tart/pie for dessert......

Oh, and most definitely cheering on the Steelers. If the Eagles can't be there we'll at least root for the same state!

Toss the "new Kix" into your Chex Party Mix. I made it twice this week :P

We have an annual Super Bowl Party (no matter who is playing B) ).

This year:

Blazing Saddle Stew - :P Layered Salad - Corn Bread - Pamela's Choc. Cake

Quarters Kielbasa

Ground beef

Green Peppers

Onion

Baked Beans

Kidney Beans

Chili Beans

Tabasco

Worcestershire Sauce (L&P)

Ground Mustard

Serve with Sour Cream

(Please read labels for Beans)

Everything is very easy and can be done ahead of time so you can watch the game, or in my case, the commercials. :D

I'm going to be making a seven layer bean dip (the top layers is beans in the shape of a football) and buffallo enchiladas. Its just the two of us, and I don't really care except for the part where I get to have bean dip.

We're going to a party, I am bringing an italian pasta salad and football themed cupcakes-I'm so excited to make them :P

We're going to a party, I'm taking a pizza dip and Death by Chocolate (gluten-free cake pieces layered with pudding, cool whip, and heath bar).

We are making buffalo wings, nachos- with chicken and all sorts of goodies, and onion rings.

I've never made the onion rings before but it sounds easy! Just milk flour, egg and baking powder! I also saw this recipe for corn dof muffins! Just make normal corn bread muffins but add chunks of hot dog and cheese is you want...I'm debating that too. OH! and I'm going to try gluten-free beer for the first time.

Have a good time guys

I made onion rings once using pamelas pancake mix and buttermilk and it was amazing.

Hi Amybeth, I'm also from Bucks County and I was just diagnosed 2 weeks ago. Do you have any good places to get gluten free items. I'm in need of good bread, which appears to be very hard to find. And any baked goods. I've got a huge sweet tooth and resisting is getting soooo hard.

Thanks!

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.

No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.

It's not uncommon to experience some bleeding with hemorrhoids but I doubt enough to materially effect your iron levels. About your constipation. Are you getting enough fiber in your diet? 25-30 grams per day is the adult recommendation. Eggs and chicken have zero fiber. One medium apple or one average banana will have about 3 g. of fiber. A serving of oatmeal will have 3-4 g. Just to give you an idea. It's harder than you think to get 25-30 g of fiber. You have to plan for it and work at it. Getting plenty of hydration is important as well.
