Terra Chips, And What To Do About Symptoms?

I am a newbie at this. I have no formal diagnosis, but I'm quite sure gluten is my problem. I have re-started going gluten-free STRICTLY, and have felt pretty good for the first time in a long time.

Today I was out shopping ALL DAY, and grabbed these as a snack: Open Original Shared Link

I know everything else that I ate today was gluten-free because it was whole food.

Now I am suffering.

The bag didn't say it contained wheat, nor did it say "gluten free". I saw a post where someone emailed the company, and they said all of their ingredients were gluten free.

Do you find that there are products that say that, but make you sick? Is it something else in it that might be making me feel this way? I don't know if I have allergies to other foods, so I'm not sure what to do (other than not eat them again).

Do any of the ingredients in this sound suspect?

THanks for helping.

The only suspicious-looking ingredients are:

"natural worcestershire flavor [natural flavor (with organic tamari soy sauce powder (soybeans, rice flour, rice maltodextrin , salt, soy lecithin)"

Although this should be all right because the soy sauce is tamari, anything with "natural flavor" is always something I am suspicious of. Have you ever reacted to soy before? A lot of us have problems with it, and I would certainly not eat this product.

I have to avoid the original flavor Terra chips and all of the flavored chips because of the umbelliferous vegetables/herbs (parsnips, celery, dill, parsley), but I can handle the plain sweet potato, sweet potato and beets, "red, stripes, & blues" and the plain blue potato chips. There are VERY few processed foods that my digestive system can tolerate... so I think they're pretty safe! :)

I have been o.k. with the sweet potato chips as well. I always avoid snacks that have flavorings and spices...for some reason spices either give me heartburn or horrible G.

Some might. Some might not. Why don't you try it? Taste is a very personal and individual thing. I don't know that anyone can speak for you.

Want to know if people like the taste with chocolate milk

Welcome to the forum, @Thoas! Just curious. Why do you ask? Is there some reason you are hesitant to try it besides taste?

Has anyone made cream of buckwheat using chocolate milk?

I was instructed to take Algaecal as alternative to bisphosphonate drugs for osteoporosis. I did for 2 years, 1200 mg a day. My cholesterol spiked above normal during this time. We watched it and finally determined best to get a test to see if calcium was causing the spike. I have never had high cholesterol before. Could the celiac non absorption have caused calcium to build in my arteries? Now put on a statin to lower cholesterol (began at 180 went to 240 while on Alcagal). thanks
