Ok so in short, I was diagnosed in Feb. with celiac. My blood test results of the Tga? or Tgg?, I cant remember what its called but anyway the results were 100. So I had a endoscopy to see and it was confirmed. 3 months later and had another blood test and it came out 19. So my doctor said he was encouraged and we will check again in 3 months. Right away after I went gluten free my symptoms went away! Especially the loud gas and being gassy all the time. So today I am experiencing the loud gas again. Just since 4:00. And I had already had gone to the bathroom(#2) twice once in the morning and then in the afternoon and the third time when I got home there was an awful lot in the toilet. I cannot understand because I dont eat that much! but anyway, could this be a cross contamination issue? Or could it have been the 5g of fiber I added to my milk this morning(with FiberSure), and I also had broccoli with my lunch. Am I crazy for looking into this too much?!

Nicole,

Did you eat anything different today than normal? Did you eat anything not prepared by yourself?

Is the fiber a new addition?

I hope you feel better soon.

I am the same way. Seems to be a lot more of my ummm situation when had gone to the bathroom. Your b.m will never be like it was when you did eat wheat. I have learned that. It sure does not sound like a contamination issue at all.

well, my pre-diagnosis issue was constipation... but to me, it sounds like contamination because i just took too many risks and ended up in a similar spot as you describe. just with constipation instead of frequent visits to the bathroom. the good news is that after only 2 days of being very careful, the gas has let up. i was super foggy and sleepy on monday, better yesterday, and most of today i felt pretty normal.

Everything I ate I had made myself. And theres NO gluten in this house! haha...The fiber is a once and a while thing Like when Im feeling like I cant go...So im guessing it was that(but it was only 5 grams thats why I was confused) It has let up and I am fine today so I do feel better! thank you guys!

For back pain, I take a combination of Cobalamine B12, Pyridoxine B 6, and Thiamine B 1 (in the form Benfotiamine), which have an analgesic effect.  These three B vitamins together work way better than those over the counter pain relievers.  Theses are water soluble B vitamins that are easily excreted via the kidneys if not needed.  Thiamine will also help the nausea. @stephaniekl, welcome to the forum, Is your daughter taking any nutritional supplements?   Weight loss and failure to thrive are two symptoms of thiamine insufficiency.  Thiamine deficiency symptoms are not recognized as such by doctors.   I experienced similar symptoms when I became malnourished.  Thiamine deficiency symptoms can become worse quickly, and can affect one emotionally and mentally.  Although blood tests for thiamine aren't accurate, do have your daughter checked for nutritional deficiencies.  Thiamine B 1 works with the other B vitamins and magnesium.  Thiamine and Niacin B 3 help improve Gerd.  All the B vitamins are frequently low due to malabsorption.  Vitamin D will help calm the immune system.  Thiamine helps the immune system fight off viruses like those tick borne illnesses.   Thiamine Mononitrate, which is in many vitamin supplements, is not bioavailable.  I was taking a multivitamin containing thiamine mononitrate and still became deficient in thiamine. Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine has been shown to promote intestinal healing.  A form called TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) is also excellent for correcting thiamine deficiency.  A combination of Thiamine, Cobalamine B12, and Pyridoxine B 6 has analgesic properties.  I take it for back pain.   Keep us posted on your progress! Has prednisone or some other systemic steroid been tried that might quiet her immune system down for a while? I have two acquaintances with Lyme's disease. It is a wicked condition that has long fingers.

We have.  She is so limited as to what she can eat.  She has a nutritionist, but they are even at a loss.  Right now, her pain is so significant that she can only eat 5-10 bites a meal.   We just got some labs back today and she is hypoglycemia, anemic and her immune system is shot.  She also is positive for 3 tickborne illnesses.  Thanks for your help!

A much better suggestion than that of the new doctor!
