My understanding is that the tTg should go down and be negative. The gliadin antibodies should go down as well. Others on this site will tell you that the gliadin antibodies are more reactive to gluten ingestion so these are good to monitor to see if you still are consuming gluten or getting cross contaminated. My tTg went from a positive test to negative result 6 months after going on the diet. I never had the gliadin antibodies done before going gluten free and at 6 months were both elevated. So I don't know if it is from injesting gluten or they are still elevated because they were really high before and are still coming down. All the more reason to get all of the proper tests before going gluten free to have a baseline.

Yes. My GI told me the tests become unreliable after 6 - 8 weeks.

My GI doc retested me at 6 months (blood work) and it showed the levels had come down, but still were not normal (they were high).

I'm very careful (when in doubt I just don't eat it), but get glutened every once in a while either at a restaurant (where I ordered something "safe") or at someone's house (where they tried their best to prepare something "safe").

My doc did not seemed concerned and said that it's going in the right direction and that it takes a while. That I was 56 until I got diagnosed and probably had it all my life (or most) and that it doesn't just normalize over night.

      Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

      That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

      Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

      Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
