Godfather's Pizza gluten-free?

Today I found out that Godfather's Pizza carries gluten free pizza. I did some research and it appears that is true. They are becoming more aware of the the seriousness and increase of Celiacs disease. I went to call the Godfather's nearest me and they do not carry it and said they will not be carrying it. I searched for the nearest Godfather's and that one along with quite a few do not carry gluten free pizza. Is this something Godfather's pizza is slowly working towards. I was disappointed.

Oh! Does anyone know of a delivery or common restaurant that offers gluten free pizza?

Yeah I would be scared of cross-contamination issues if ANY conventional pizza joint starting carrying gluten-free pizza.

My mother makes a bangin' homemade pizza...maybe she can take orders online!

The pizza is prepackaged before entering Godfather's pizza, so it is made without cross-contamination and then shipped to the store all packaged and ready to bake. I'm sad they don't do that at every Godfathers's. I may need to call the company.

I don't believe I have a Jim's pizza here in Minnesota.

Godfathers just started offering gluten free pizza earlier this year (April 2009). I live in Omaha, NE and we were the test market for the gluten free pizza, so it was offered here months before anywhere else. They started off by offering it just on Tuesdays and found out there was a pretty big demand for it (of course!!). So now they offer it 7 days a week and they increased the number of locations the offer it in Omaha from 1 to about 6 different places. They are also offering it in Lincoln, and I believe some of their other locations in other states. I think it is slowly branching out to the stores outside of Omaha.

Yes, they do make it in a different facility prior to delivering it to the pizza place, so no CC issues to worry about. You have two choices when you get these pizzas -- you can either have them bake it for you or you can take and bake. There are some locations that do not have a dedicated gluten free oven away from all the rest of the cooking area, so at these places, you can only take and bake. The other places have a separate room and oven for the gluten free pizzas. They slap a HUGE neon green sticker on the gluten free pizza boxes labeling them as gluten free and it has a disclaimer reminding employees to be cognizant of CC issues.

I've had Godfathers gluten free pizza about 30 times now and it's honestly not too bad. I have always LOVED godfathers pizza sauce, so it's nice to still be able to have it. Their pizzas are basically like having a thin crust pizza. It comes in a 10" size and they offer hamburger, combo, sausage, and pepperoni, I believe. (I'm not 100% sure about the combo though). I've had both the sausage and pepperoi and I've never been sick from their pizza.

I think that they are shipping the gluten free pizza to stores based upon the number of requests they get from those locations, so I'd just start writing into the company with suggestions to have them at a location closer to you. Even if they just provided the take and bake option, it would probably be nice!

Z Pizza has gluten free pizza, as well as Uno's. I, personally, am not a big fan of the Uno's pizza, but to each their own. It's worth a try. I do, however, LOVE Z Pizza's, if you happen to have one nearby.

I am in Minnesota as well, don't know where you live but on Open Original Shared Link it says all the fast food pizza places!!
