Mixing Thyroid Meds

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Natural Thyroid Replacment (armour) 80% T4 20%T3

Synthetic Thyroid Replacement (synthroid) 100% T4

The human thyroid gland produces about 94%T4 and 6% T3 in a healthy state.

I want to mix my meds to reach this ratio as closely as possible and see if I feel better than when I took each of these meds alone. Anyone ever try this or have some mathmatical equation that can help me? I was taking 25mcgs of synthroid....feel hypothroid still. Then I switched to Armour 1/4 grain or 16 mgs and feel a little anxious.
