Hey guys..I noticed a thread on here that said something about the St Ives apricot scrub having gluten in it...WELL, I usually use that, but last time I bought exfoliator I saw the Equate (walmart) brand so bought that instead because it was a little cheaper. From what I can tell, the ingredients look safe. I dont have the bottle in front of me right now, but I remember reading it in the shower and thinking that I should post about it incase someone wants to check out the ingredient list themselves next time you go to walmart..Im still a newbie at all this, so I may have missed something, but maybe its worth checking out if you are like me and love your beauty products!!!

I was curious, so I just went into the bathroom and read the ingredients off my tube of St. Ives Apricot Scrub and call me clueless, but I can't see anything on there that contains gluten.

They make two versions, and I believe one contains wheat germ.

I posted this somewhere else a few weeks ago, but the Clean and Clear company emailed me letting me know which of their products are gluten free. And the Clean and Clear BlackHead Clearing Scrub is gluten free. And it works. It's strong so I don't use it everyday.

My absolute favorite scrub - that I am literally addicted to - is Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub. It is gluten free according to the delphi list.

The little scrubbing beads are also microspheres, which means that it will not cause the microabrasions that apricot scrubs do. I'm actually trained as a master esthetician and so I care a lot about these little things :)

Microabrasions can lead to acne & such, not fun. Try this scrub - but be warned, it's crazy addictive ;) I keep a tube in my shower and use it every day. It smells sooooooo good and makes me feel so clean and smooth. Yum!!

What you’re describing is actually very common, and unfortunately the timing of the biopsy likely explains the confusion. Yes, it is absolutely possible for the small intestine to heal enough in three months on a strict gluten-free diet to produce a normal or near-normal biopsy, especially when damage was mild to begin with. In contrast, celiac antibodies can stay elevated for many months or even years after gluten removal, so persistently high antibody levels alongside the celiac genes and clear nutrient deficiencies strongly point to celiac disease, even if you don’t feel symptoms. Many people with celiac are asymptomatic but still develop iron and vitamin deficiencies and silent intestinal damage. The lack of immediate symptoms makes it harder emotionally, but it doesn’t mean gluten isn’t harming you. Most specialists would consider this a case of celiac disease with a false-negative biopsy due to early healing rather than “something else,” and staying consistently gluten-free is what protects you long-term—even when your body doesn’t protest right away.

Yes, I meant if you had celiac disease but went gluten-free before screening, your results would end up false-negative. As @trents mentioned, this can also happen when a total IGA test isn't done.

I found at Disney springs and Disney they have specialist that when told about dietary restrictions they come and talk to you ,explain cross contamination measures tsken and work with you on choices. Its the one place I dont worry once I've explained I have celiac disease.  Thier gluten free options are awesome.

Have you tried Pure Encapsulations supplements? This is a brand my doctor recommends for me. I have no issues with this brand.
